Financial Accounting Intern - Summer

has an opening for a Financial Accounting Intern in the Segment Reporting Department at its corporate headquarters in Carthage, MO. This position will be full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer of 2019. The internship will provide hands-on experience with the company s accounting systems and will allow the individual to gain an understanding of the company s operations.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze accounts to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Assist in the preparation of the Company s consolidated financial statements and internal management reports
  • Other various projects, which can include assisting in the preparation of the company s shareholder reports, assisting outside auditors with analyses of accounts, and day-to-day contact with division accounting staff, operating managers and other corporate staff departments

Requirements

  • Must be a college student seeking a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Accounting, with an anticipated graduation date no earlier than December 2019 or later than December 2020
  • GPA of 3. 3 or higher is desired

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
