Staff Tax Accountant

, an S&P; 500 company, is seeking candidates for a Staff Tax Accountant at our corporate location in Carthage, Missouri.

Staff Tax Accountants primarily work with federal and state income, payroll, property, international, and sales taxes in multiple states. A successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of tax compliance, research and analysis of tax laws, planning, acquisitions, and assistance with accounting for income taxes and SEC reporting. An ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, and the ability to learn new skills quickly.

Requirements/Desired Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting (or in Business with an emphasis in Accounting) from an accredited college or university (3. 5 GPA or above is preferred)
  • CPA certification or candidacy would be beneficial
  • Track record of high performance work
  • One or two years of post-graduate tax or accounting experience is preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
