Electronics Product Development Manager

Leggett & Platt, Incorporated is seeking an¬ Electronics Product Development Manager¬ to be responsible for successfully managing, coordinating, and ensuring timely completion and implementation of electronics projects for our Adjustable Bed Group. Our Adjustable Bed Group is based in Carthage, Missouri, but there is also opportunity for this position to office out of our Research and Development facility in Lenexa, KS.¬  This role serves as a facilitator between the various functions of the Group and external suppliers.¬  You will be responsible to create project plans, communicate project status, and ensure project deliverables are completed.


Primary Duties:

  • Facilitate regularly scheduled team meetings with internal and external resources to coordinate efforts and meet identified project deliverables.

  • Proactively manage the project timeline and changes in project scope to meet evolving needs and requirements, identity potential shortfalls, and devise contingency plans to minimize risk as related to projects.

  • Provide process assurance and accountability to the development team.

  • Interface with other Group functions to ensure clear and timely communication of project deliverables and status.

  • Communicate if deliverables cannot be attained and get consensus on steps forward with relevant stakeholders.

  • Effectively balance and direct assigned efforts in a rapid growth environment based on identified customer and Group expectations.



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, management or related field preferred. Relevant work experience will be considered.

  • Project management experience, ideally in a team oriented environment.

  • Product development experience, producing tangible deliverables.

  • Knowledge of electronics and technical aptitude preferred.

  • Experience in creating development processes preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage timelines and coordinate team efforts to achieve goals.

  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Zoho experience helpful.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
