Staff Accountant

, an S&P; 500 company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to be based in our corporate office in Carthage, Missouri. The successful candidate will work with Unit level management and assist with financial reporting and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and analyze financial information for specified domestic and international facilities.
  • Day-to-day contact with regional, branch, unit, and group accounting staff, managers, and other corporate departments.
  • Assist with month end close activities, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements.
  • Assist with forecast and strategic planning.
  • Support compliance with established Company internal controls.
  • Assist Business Unit Controllers with varying projects and duties.


  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of GAAP and Operations Planning
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus
  • Analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel, occassionally international, (5-10%)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
