Performs radiologic exams of the selected anatomy as requested by the referring physician. Performs a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to obtain diagnostic images by utilizing prober exposure factors while maintaining good patient care.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Maintains established departmental polices and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety and environmental standards.
Positions patient for specified X-Ray exams according to department protocols and procedures.
Works well with all Radiologists to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Performs routine quality control activities and participates in quality improvement program in department.
Prepares written documentation as required by department and hospital policies to record history of patient's illness or injury in their course of care in radiology.
Ensures equipment functions, orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Checks availability of supplies and accessories necessary to perform exams.
Enhances professional growth and workplace knowledge through participation in educational programs, department meetings and in-services.
Performs venipuncture for the administration of radiolographic contrast agents after meeting procedural requirements listed in the Radiology Policy and Procedure Manual.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested which are within capabilities with reasonable accommodations.
Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and functions well in stressful situations.
Understand the function of the PACS system: merging, QC the images, verifying for completion

Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Radiology Registered Member of ARRT
Licensure: n/a
Experience: Completed two year radiology program Registry eligible or Registered with ARRT
Certifications: ARRT
Other: Communication Skills Ability to Problem Solve Computer knowledge

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
