Join the Schwan''s Home Service team as a Region Operations Manager - South Central Region.This position is responsible for managing the warehousing of frozen food at multiple locations, managing a fleet of delivery vehicles, and managing supply chain operations across a 6 state region.
Ensures there is effective distribution of frozen food products within specified geography containing multiple distribution sites to include but not limited to forecasting accuracy inventory control inspections safety compliance material handling and efficiency of the warehouse operations.
Responsible for monitoring Facility Supervisor performance against corporate and regional expectations and working with Facility Supervisors Local General Managers and District General Managers to improve the performance.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Responsible for ensuring that all Facility Supervisors receive adequate training Responsible for cost control activities including but not limited to managing inventory shrink damage and labor hours
Completes Capital Expenditure request documentation as needed
Provides guidance to the field for effective utilization of a fleet of delivery vehicles to include but not limited to adherence to Department of Transportation compliance cost control of proper preventative maintenance/repair as well as fleet utilization.
Works with Fleet Services to allocate fleet assets throughout the region.
Provides the expertise to the field for the effective utilization of real estate to include but not limited to depot preventive maintenance budgeting operating expense budgeting and initiating capital expenditure requests for expansions or changes.
Complies with all applicable Federal State local and company laws regulations and policies.
Manages trains and develops subordinates if applicable
Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent
Years of Related
Experience: 7-9 years or more related work experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Good PC skills including Microsoft Word Excel etc. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills both verbally and written. The ability to effectively present information in group settings to a wide variety of audiences. Excellent Driving Record. Effective Budget Management.
