To lead the maintenance team in maintaining the organization's machinery and production equipment, to ensure ongoing, cost-effective operations.
Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate activities of employees/subcontractors engaged in mechanical, electrical and facility repair as directed by maintenance manager.
Manage technicians successful, timely and accurate completion of preventive and predictive maintenance work as scheduled by planner/scheduler.
Support planner/scheduler in manage resources based on total preventative maintenance hours.
Verify preventive maintenance compliance and spare parts reorder.
Direct and schedule employees to support shift structure and work assignments.
Manage tech's attendance alerting maintenance manager when individuals reach 3 points Review, edit/correct clock in/out issues insuring tech's work their scheduled times Conduct daily/weekly CMMS entries and review with maintenance technicians.
Review variance sheets and observe progress of work on reoccurring failures to evaluate efficiency and work quality including tech's signing sheets describing failure and time it was down Participate in the recruitment and selection of maintenance staff.
Participate actively in the requirement to retain and continually improve on IATF certification.
Schedule and conduct performance appraisals with departmental personnel and maintain lines of communication with staff.
Personally interact with night shifts on a regular basis Drive continuous improvement to support OEE, IPPM, scrap, downtime, and other lean manufacturing metrics.
Develop personal skills through education training and development, to maintain professional qualifications.
Responsible for knowing and upholding the H&S Policy and for working in a safe manner and reporting all unsafe or unhealthy conditions or acts.
Complies with 5S standards and expectations Work closely with operations leadership knowing the status of equipment and support that's needed.
Complete any other assignments, duties and projects that may be assigned.
SKILLS &
Qualifications:
Supervisory skills, Due Diligence, Safety, Health & the Law, IATF 16949 compliance.
University Degree or College diploma or Journeymen Millwrights/Electricians with appropriate experience and academic upgrades.
More than 5 years related experience in similar positions Mechanical/technical competency Strong customer service and management skills Knowledge of CMMS or any maintenance planning software Well-developed organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Proven leadership ability Candidates interested in this position must complete an application on-line at:
