The primary responsibilities for this position include serving as a retail sales clerk in the Precious Moments Gift Shop.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and service Welcomes and interacts with customers.
Ensures that each guest receives outstanding service by providing an inviting and friendly environment.
Takes an interest in our guests, finding ways to create conversation.
Commitment to outstanding service includes anticipating guest needs and meeting customer requests.
Processes customer transactions, including operating cash registers, receiving payment, making change, maintaining required paperwork, processing returns and exchanges in accordance with policy, etc.
Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies regarding payment and exchanges.
Remains knowledgeable regarding products offered and discusses available options.
Seeks/displays knowledge of Precious Moments product and looks for ways to present gift and memento suggestions.
Recommends, selects and helps locate merchandise based on customer needs.
Answers customer queries regarding the store and the merchandise.
Maximizes upsell opportunities.
Maintains knowledge regarding history and facts concerning Precious Moments and all related to it.
Knowledgeable of operating schedule, special events, etc.
Stocks inventory and assists in preparation of merchandising displays, tags merchandise as needed.
Facility is open 7 days per week.
MUST be available to work weekends and holidays.
There will be occasional evenings during busier seasons.
Proven retail or comparable sales experience preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Must be customer service focused and demonstrate a willingness to support other team members.
Strong sales skills required.
Requires excellent oral communication skills and listening skills.
Must be motivated and dependable.
Previous cash register experience preferred.
